OK, OK, everyone seems to consider turning your old Mac into an aquarium a legitimate use of an old Mac. So there you have it. Go for it.

"Yeah, we all know about the Mac as fishtank (and yes, I am building one,) but I also am in the process of trying to convert one into a lamp. This shouldn't be too difficult (as compared to making an aquarium, at least there should be less hacksawing and MUCH less maintenance,) so I think it's going to be way cool when completed. "I was thinking of how neat those old machines look. Then it hit me! Those little screens look sorta like those decorative glass bricks used in several forms of interior house construction. Then I remembered that I was once at a house that had the base of their bar made of those glass bricks. I got this picture of stacking them up to use them at a bar but also running screeen savers on them. If you do not put them in a random mode you can come up with a neat pattern."
